This is a region on the east coast of Vancouver Island and includes the city of Courtenay, town of Comox, village of Cumberland, and other surrounding areas including Royston, Union Bay, Fanny Bay, Black Creek, and Merville.
Being that Parksville and Qualicum are near the Comox Valley, they make great places to retire for the same reasons as the Comox Valley. The price of property is extremely low compared to those of more populated areas.
Delta is near Vancouver and is composed of three communities: Ladner, Tsawwassen, and North Delta. Delta is known for its flat, fertile land, and has thusly become one of the most important agricultural areas for Metro Vancouver.
Although the price of real estate is high in Vancouver, it is still one of the most beautiful and most livable cities in the world. Vancouver is a major city, but it’s location is nestled between beautiful mountains and ocean, making it a very desirable place to retire.
Vancouver Island in general is known for its temperate climate and beautiful scenery with full, untouched forests. Many people enjoy retirement here because of the peaceful atmosphere and the many resources available.
